A Pennsylvania man is in critical condition after falling about 40 feet from an escalator at Revel early Monday.
Police said Kevin D. Denker Jr., 29, was going down the escalator in the main foyer about 1:35 a.m. with his girlfriend when he jumped on a handrail and fell 40 feet.
When authorities reached Denker, he was conscious. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, where his condition is listed as critical, police said Monday afternoon.

This is the second known injury from the escalator since the casino opened. Another man suffered a shoulder injury several months ago.
Revel spokeswoman Maureen Siman said the casino would not comment, as it is a police matter.
