Pleasantville police are looking for three men who broke into a home Monday afternoon.

Capt. Rocky Melendez said two women were in an apartment on the 1400 block of Falcon Drive at 2 p.m. when there was a knock on the door.

The owner told police the suspects were asking for a woman, but when she opened the door to tell them they had the wrong address three males in dark clothing rushed into the home, Melendez said.

The men – one of whom may have been armed – rummaged through the house and a purse of the resident’s friend and ran out, Melendez said. They held the resident down while they searched, he said.

Melendez said possibly money and a phone may have been taken from the purse.

One of the suspects also had a gray sweatshirt and black coat.
Anyone with information is asked to call 609-641-6100.
