Atlantic City police are investigating an armed home invasion at an apartment in Stanley Holmes Village this morning.

Police were called at 3:43 a.m. after two masked men had broken into the home on the 500 block of Westminter Place, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said. The unnamed female victim told police she escaped through a window, but that her four children and boyfriend were still asleep inside.

Police set up a perimeter and SWAT searched the residence, but no suspects or weapons were found, according to the report.

The woman’s boyfriend and father of the children inside was interviewed by police. None of the children was harmed.

The woman was admitted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus for injuries to both legs suffered when she escaped, McMenamin said

Detective Jeffrey Braasch is investigating.
