A Greyhound bus traveling from Atlantic City to New York had to stop in Port Republic when passengers spotted many roaches crawling around in the vehicle, according to a report by Action News in Philadelphia.

The bus was carrying 48 passengers Friday morning when it stopped and the company sent another bus to take the people to New York, the report stated.

Action News reported that the bus company apologized for the inconvenience and said it would investigate the situation and determine its cause.

Calls to the Greyhound corporate communications office were not returned Friday afternoon and evening. State Police said they did not report to the scene.
