Nelson Johnson, author of "The Northside," and leaders of the black community will be part of a forum presented by The Press of Atlantic City on Feb. 21 in Atlantic City.

The forum, as part of The Press' Black History Month coverage, will focus on the future of the black community in southern New Jersey. It will feature Pleasantville Mayor Jesse L. Tweedle Jr., Carolyn Greenidge, of the Greenidge Funeral Home in Atlantic City, and Turiya S.A. Raheem, author of "Growing Up in the Other Atlantic City: Wash's and the Northside."

The Press is running excerpts of Johnson's ‘The Northside' each Sunday and Wednesday during February and into March.

The forum, which will be held at the Uptown Complex on Madison Avenue in Atlantic City, will run from 6 to 8 p.m.
