PLEASANTVILLE- The left turn signal on the eastbound Black Horse Pike was knocked down by a sleepy driver, officials said Monday morning.

Police at the scene said there were no injuries. But the left hand turn lane on the eastbound side is closed while repairs are being made.

At about 6:30 a.m. Joshua Fenwick, 29, of Ventnor, was driving west on the Black Horse Pike and struck the traffic light pole, which is sitting crumpled in the parking lot of the former Pistol Pete's bar.

The driver was not injured and the incident is still under investigation, said police spokesperson Capt. Rocky Melendez.

Police said the state Department of Transportation is currently working at the scene to install a replacement.
