This year’s New Jersey Conference on Tourism will begin Wednesday in Atlantic City.

The two-day event will be held at the Golden Nugget Atlantic City and will kick off with an annual New Jersey Travel Industry Association meeting and discussion on the crucial issues affecting the industry.

Wednesday’s events will also include keynote speakers Sharon Franz, president of the New Jersey Travel Industry Association, and Grace Hanlon, executive director of the state Division of Travel and Tourism, and a talk by “America’s Travel Detective” TV personality and New York Times best-selling author Peter Greenberg.

Thursday’s highlights will include remarks by Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno and an overview of New Jersey Tourism statistics for 2013.
