Atlantic City police have arrested a woman wanted for stabbing a man in the head Wednesday night.

Serena Martinez, 25, of Atlantic City, was arrested Thursday night for allegedly stabbing Eugene Shirk, 21, inside a Stanley Holmes Village apartment, Sgt. Monica McMenamin said.

Shirk took himself to the hospital Wednesday night and told police that the woman, who he knew only as “Pooh,” had stabbed him in an apartment in the second village. His injuries were not life-threatening.

Martinez was arrested about 10 p.m. Thursday by Detectives Joe Iacovone and Jerard Ingenito. She is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. She has been released pending a court hearing
