EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — A Mays Landing man was charged Wednesday with aggravated assault after police say he held a gun to his ex-girlfriend’s head at her Egg Harbor Township home.

Justin Tamanini, 21, also was charged with simple assault, burglary, criminal mischief and terroristic threats. Bail on the charges was set by Municipal Court Judge H. R. Switzer at $50,000 full cash, according to police in Egg Harbor Township.

Police responded to a Second Avenue home in the Cardiff section of the township after getting a domestic violence complaint at approximately 8:35 a.m., police said.

Cheryl Fry, 18, said Tamanini broke into her home, grabbed her by the throat and threatened to kill her, police said.

Fry was not injured, police said.

Tamanini ran away, but was located in the area by Patrolman Christopher Leary.

Tamanini was sent to the Atlantic County jail in Mays Landing, police said.
