A 39-year-old Egg Harbor Township man was injured Wednesday night when his vehicle drove off the Atlantic City Expressway.

Sgt. Rob Bond, of the Atlantic City Expressway barracks of the New Jersey State Police, said the vehicle was driving eastbound at mile marker 11.2 when it drove off the road, struck a pole and then a tree at 6:36 p.m.

The victim, whom police did not identify, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for nonlife-threatening injuries, Bond said.

The accident is under investigation, Bond said.
