A 67-year-old Atlantic City man was seriously injured Tuesday when he was struck crossing the Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township.

Police say James Marcel, of Atlantic City, walked into the path of a 1996 Acura Integra, operated by Andres Serrano 19, of Egg Harbor Township, at about 10:28 p.m. Tuesday. He was struck by Serrano’s vehicle, which was traveling west near King Pin Lanes in the Cardiff section of the township.

Marcel was treated at the scene and transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus with serious injuries.

Traffic was detoured for about two hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.
