Almost 600 Atlantic City Electric customers lost power Friday morning due to a breaker failure caused by a tree branch in Pleasantville.

Customers who were without power for an hour were located in in Egg Harbor Township, Pleasantville and other nearby communities.

The Press of Atlantic City office in Pleasantville was one of the hundreds of customers to lose power at about 11 a.m., which was restored at about 12:30 p.m.

Police were in the area directing traffic, in place of signals, on major roads.
