Egg Harbor Township awarded $1.7 million in grants for school improvments

The New Jersey Schools Development Authority has awarded five grants totaling $1.7 million for improvements to Egg Harbor Township’s schools.

The grants, which will match nearly $1.6 million in school district funds, will help fund the following projects:

  • Boiler replacement, lighting upgrades in the oldest classroom wing and masonry repair at Alder Avenue Middle School.
  • HVAC upgrades and window replacement at Davenport Elementary School.
  • HVAC upgrades at Egg Harbor Township High School.
  • Boiler replacement, drainage upgrades, flooring replacement, HVAC upgrades and masonry repair at Fernwood Avenue Middle School.
  • HVAC upgrades and window replacements at Slaybaugh Elementary School.

The total cost is estimated at more than $3.3 million.
