Said El-Abbar, of the English Creek section of Egg Harbor Township, works as a carpenter for contractors, but has his own side business in which he creates Andalusian woodwork of the type seen in southern Spain that was heavily influenced by the Moors.

This example of El-Abbar’s work, a full-ceiling installation, can cost as much as $15,000. ‘It’s like putting a piece of art in your house,’ he said.
