A hearing scheduled for Monday over a 60-foot-tall LED billboard on the Margate Causeway in Egg Harbor Township has been delayed until Oct. 22.

This is the second time the hearing has been postponed. Theresa Wilbert, the township’s land use administrator, said the hearing was continued at the request of the applicants.

The billboard is the subject of an ongoing lawsuit between developers, including Jersey Outdoor Media, and Northfield homeowner Richard Levitt.

The state Department of Environmental Protection, which issued a notice of violation in April to Jersey Outdoor Media for unauthorized development in a wetland, issued the company a Coastal Area Facilities Review Act permit last month after developers revised their site plan.

An attorney for the developers did not respond to a request for comment.
