Around 9 a.m. today officers received a call of a suspicious person in the area of Sandpiper Drive, in the Pleasant Woods neighborhood.

Officers responded to the area and determined the man was Carlos Franqui. Franqui did not appear to have suffered any harm from this incident.

The incident is still under investigation.

On Thursday, just before 8 p.m., police were called to Atlantic Gardens Mobile Park.

Family members told police that Franqui had not come home that night and they were concerned for his well-being.

Franqui was last seen around 7:30 a.m. that morning getting into a transport vehicle which the family believed was from a partial care facility in Hammonton.

The facility told police that no one from their company picked up Franqui that day and that he may have gotten in a vehicle from another company. There is no information on the type of vehicle or where Franqui went.

Franqui has a history of a cognitive impairment and the mental capacity of a young child, according to police.
