Egg Harbor Township police are warning motorists to keep their vehicles locked at all times after an incident in the Shore Mall parking lot.

Police arrested two men Saturday after an off-duty Northfield officer observed two suspects walking through the parking lot, checking for unlocked doors, entering at least one vehicle and removing property from that vehicle.

Egg Harbor Township police officers responded to the scene and arrested the suspects with what they believed to be stolen property.

Christopher Way, 21, of Somers Point, was arrested and charged with burglary, theft and conspiracy. John Monzo, 22, of Northfield, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and conspiracy.

Both were released on summons pending a court appearance.

The police are advising people to not leave any valuables inside their vehicles and to keep car doors locked at all times, even in front of their homes.
