Egg Harbor Township Scout Troop 389 produced rare number of Eagles - 7

Scoutmaster Bill Schmitz, center, stood with the Eagle Scouts and other members of Troop 389 for a group photograph during Ryan Goukler’s Eagle Court of Honor held at the Margate Community Church in Margate. Last year, Troop 389, based out of Atlantic Christian School in Egg Harbor Townshp, had seven members earn Eagle status, an accomplishment Schmitz said he has never seen before in his 64 years with scouting.
