Bultes completes basic training

Army National Guard Pvt. Christopher Bultes has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Leonard Wood in Waynesville, Mo.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons, rifle marksmanship qualification, bayonet combat, chemical warfare, field training and tactical exercises, marches, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid and Army history, traditions and core values.

Bultes is the son of Judith Pabon and stepson of Luis Vasquez, of Egg Harbor Township. He is a 2012 graduate of Egg Harbor Township High School.

Jones completes basic training

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Doug F. Jones graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Jones is the son of Steve and MaryAnne Jones, of Mays Landing. He is a 2012 graduate of the Atlantic Christian School.
