High School hosting self-esteem seminar

The Egg Harbor Township High School invited parents and students to attend its confidence-building seminar on Saturday, Feb. 23 in the school cafeteria from 9 to 11 a.m. The seminar will feature EHTHS puppeteer Justin Hlifka and keynote speaker Joan Buzick, who is an author and composer. The Community Partnership for Egg Harbor Township Schools, Inc. will kickoff its 2013 fundraising efforts Feb. 23 at the Atlantic City Country Club. The sixth annual February FUN-Raiser will again honor People of the Year in four categories who have made a significant, positive impact on the Egg Harbor Township School District in 2012.

Nominated by their peers, district staff members and community members, the honorees are Elizabeth and Raymond Klein, Community Member(s) of the Year recipients; Brian Krueger/ Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Community Business of the Year recipient; Moktader Mowla, Student of the Year recipient; and Dr. Linda Szypula, Teacher of the Year recipient.

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available for the event planned annually to raise funds for technology upgrades, academic enhancement or capital projects for the Egg Harbor Township School District.

Tickets are $75 per person and include a one-hour open bar cocktail and hors d’oeuvre reception, buffet dinner, dessert and auction.

The evening also features entertainment by Egg Harbor Township resident Bobby Campanell, former leader and co-founder of The Shakes.
