Historical Society holding WWII encampment

The Greate Egg Harbor Township HIstorical Society will hold a World War II Encampment Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 27 on the museum grounds at 6647 West Jersey Ave.

There will be World War II equipment and weapons on display, with demonstrations by the New Jersey Coastal Battery, the 9th Division, the 50th Armor and the 101st Paratroopers, and veterans will conduct a Q-and-A session and be on hand through the day. There will be live music and games.

PAL Fair for All and Mud Run scheduled

The Egg Harbor Township Police Athletic League’s Fair for All is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Ready to Ride park at 2590 Ridge Ave. There will be music, food, giant inflatables, paintball, go-karting, hay and pony rides and more.

During the fair, PAL will hold its Enforcer Challenge Mud Run, with a 2K race starting at 10 a.m. and a 5K race starting at

11 a.m. The obstacle course includes sand bags, a cargo net, hay bales, a vertical wall, a hill climb and more.

There will be free T-shirts for the first 100 registered. Entry is $20 for the 2K and $30 for the 5K before Sept. 1, and $5 more for each race after.
