Dog Park dinner set

The annual Pawsta Dinner to benefit the Egg Harbor Township Dog Park will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Mays Landing Country Club.

The dinner will be an opportunity to learn about the dog park while dining on pasta dishes, salads and desserts. There will be a Chinese auction, prizes, a DJ and more. Plates are $30, and there will be a cash bar.

Ghanaian musician playing Super Buffet

Ghanaian musician Thunder Rim and his band will bring their brand of West African jazz, reggae, rock and funk to Super Buffet and Grill at 6718 Black Horse Pike on Aug. 31.

Historical Society holding flea market

The Greate Egg Harbor Township Historical Society will celebrate Museum Day 2013 with its inaugural “Ye Olde Flea” Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 28 on the museum grounds, 6647 West Jersey Ave.

Wine tasting to benefit EHT schools

The Community Partnership for Egg Harbor Township Schools will host its annual Friends of Chuck Donovan Wine Tasting and Gourmet dinner at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at Hidden Creek Golf Club at 75 Asbury Road.

The event is named for Chuck Donovan, who as a member of the Community Partnership from 2007 to 2009 championed efforts to raise funds for academic enhancements, technology, capital projects and extracurricular activities. He died in 2009 of pancreatic cancer.

Tickets are $75 person and include an assortment of wines paired with imported and domestic cheeses, a seasonal green salad with dark chocolate balsamic vinaigrette, short rib shepherd’s pie topped with Yukon and sweet potato, s’mores creme brulee and coffee. Sponsorships are available and range from $250 to $1,000.
