Cheerleading registration set
Egg Harbor Township Youth Organization cheerleading registration for participants currently in first through seventh grade will take place March 17 and 24 and April 22 and 28 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park Fieldhouse off Ocean Heights Avenue.

Free rabies clinic set
A free rabies clinic will be held March 15 at the Egg Harbor Township Municipal Garage, 6120 Mill Road.
Dogs are scheduled from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and cats from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Licenses will be available at a cost of $9 for spayed or neutered pets and $15 nonspayed or nonneutered. Licenses after March 31 increase to $12. For information, call the Township Clerk's office at 609-926-4086.
Sugar Hill bridge repairs to begin this month
Atlantic County will begin a $467,000 road improvement project on Sugar Hill Bridge in Mays Landing as early as March 17, weather permitting, the county said.
The 73-year old structure on Somers Point-Mays Landing Road will receive extensive deck and sidewalk repairs to further extend its use.
A one-way detour will be in place for eastbound traffic only through the completion of this project, expected to be about 2½ months.
Historical Speaker Series continues
The Hamilton Historical Society is continuing its Speaker Series at 7:30 p.m. March 12. The program will be in the Fellowship Hall of the Presbyterian Church, 6001 Main St., Mays Landing.
This month's program is "The 2005 Titanic Expedition," presented by Tom Maddox, president of American Diving Supply. Maddox was a team member of that expedition and will share his experiences along with a slide presentation showing the final resting place of the Titanic.
The program is open to the public and free of charge. Donations will be accepted and refreshments will be served following the lecture.
