ShopRite of English Creek in Egg Harbor Township announced Friday a voluntary recall of all store-made ground meat produced and sold Wednesday, Nov. 21.
The company said there is a possibility that the meat may contain small pieces of the black tray lining used in the packaging, which may be a health risk if ingested.
The recall affects all varieties of ground meat, including beef, pork and meatloaf mix. If returned, customers can get a full refund or replacement.
ShopRite’s recall affects only one store. Pre-packed ground meat products and ground meat sold in other ShopRite stores in the area are not affected.
No injuries related to the possibly contaminated meat have been reported, the company said.
