Egg Harbor Township planners on Monday approved a site plan for the municipality’s fifth Wawa store.

The new store, situated on a 3.7-acre parcel, will be located near the southwest corner of the intersection of the Black Horse Pike and Fire Road.

Planning documents show that the Voorhees, Camden County-based Metro Development of South Jersey plans to build a 5,051-square-foot convenience store with an eight-pump gas station and 59 parking spaces.

The township is already home to four Wawas, including two within two miles of the site, one near the former Cardiff Circle and another on Tilton Road.
