Two motorists were injured Monday in a crash on the Black Horse Pike in the Cardiff section of Egg Harbor Township, police say.
At about 8:35 a.m., a 1999 Oldsmobile driven by Katherine Lubiejewski, 64, of Egg Harbor Township, struck a 2003 Nissan Altima driven by Henry Enciscocq, 43, of Egg Harbor Township at the intersection of the Black Horse Pike and Ridge Avenue.
Encisco, who was traveling south on Ridge Avenue when he was struck by Lubiejewski’s vehicle in the westbound lanes, was issued a motor vehicle summons for failure to stop and yield at a stop sign. Police say Encisco had stopped at the stop sign and then continued into Lubiejewski’s path.
Both drivers were treated at the scene by the EHT Ambulance Squad. Lubiejewski was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus and Encisco was transported to Shore Medical Center for treatment.
Police say the accident caused traffic delays for a short time as the crash was investigated and cleared.
