Students on dean’s list at U. of Delaware
Students named to the University of Delaware’s dean’s list for spring 2013 included:

To be eligible, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above for the semester.

McHugh students win in math league
Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School students placed first in the region at the eighth-grade level and second in the region at the sixth-grade level for the New Jersey Math League.
The region covers Cape May, Cumberland and Atlantic counties. Eighth-graders Christopher Gibson and Thomas Henry placed as top students in the region, and sixth-grader Rory McDermott placed second for top students in the region. The eighth-graders received a plaque for their effort.
Students from Bishop McHugh Regional School were among nearly 150,000 worldwide to participate in the Math Olympiad Program. They participated in a series of five monthly contests of five problems each, from November to March, and weekly practice sessions under the guidance of Diane Bruesehoff. Eighth-grader Alex Sakena placed in the top 10 percent for Math Olympiad at the middle school level, and received a trophy and a silver pin. Tom Henry and Aidan Sorensen also were recognized and awarded patches for scoring in the top 50th percentile.
Baruffi on dean’s list
Lauren Baruffi, of Egg Harbor Township, was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester at Towson University in Maryland.
