Absegami’s coach Meghan Tracey, keeps the memory of her friend each year by helping to organize the Absegami Girls' basketball team’s Coaches Vs. Cancer event in memory of Elizabeth Hartman, an Egg Harbor Township High School coach.
Absegami High School girls coach Meghan Tracey helped start the team’s Coaches Vs. Cancer: Shooting for a Cure event in memory of Elizabeth Hartman, an Egg Harbor Township High School coach who died in 2007.
Elizabeth Hartman’s mother, Elaine, of Absecon, and brother Matt, followed the Egg Harbor Township-Absegami girls basketball game from the visitors stands.
Booster Club President Marcy Adams and her husband, Adams, of Galloway Township, wore Shooting for a Cure T-shirts at the game. ‘We wanted the kids to know how to give back to other people, and it just became a big thing,’ she said of the event.
Jenna Adams, 17, and Valerie Seel, 18, both of Galloway Township, showed their support during Absegami’s Coaches Vs. Cancer: Shooting for a Cure event in memory of Elizabeth Hartman, an Egg Harbor Township High School coach and friend of Absegami coach Meghan Tracey.
