The Princeton Review has named Richard Stockton College one of the “Best in the Northeast” in its 2014 list of best colleges by region.
The Review highlighted Stockton's small class sizes, faculty-guided research and efforts to be a eco-friendly campus, or “green college,” President Herman J. Saatkamp said.
The Princeton Review website includes statements from students that highlight the marine science and physical therapy programs, Stockton spokeswoman Maryjane Briant said.
Stockton was one of 226 colleges chosen in the area, which includes New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and the District of Columbia.
Stockton also has been ranked in the top tier of Best Regional Universities in the North by U.S. News & World Report, Briant said.
