A Galloway Township woman and a 4-year-old child were involved in a motor vehicle accident on Moss Mill Road Thursday morning.

Police responded to the roadway at 9:12 a.m. between Wrangleboro and Pomona roads. Katie Seaver was traveling north on Moss Mill Road when she side-swiped the guard rail and lost control of her vehicle, police said in a release.

Her vehicle then traveled across the roadway and went off the road striking a utility pole before landing in a small stream, police said.

Seaver suffered facial and head injuries, police said. A 4-year-old child in the back seat was in a child restraint seat and was uninjured, police said. Both were taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona, police said.

The road was closed for about five hours while the pole was repaired and the vehicle was removed from the stream, police said. Seaver was issued a summons for careless driving.
