MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College’s main campus closed at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday and will remain closed until Monday due to a problem with the school’s water supply.
The college sent out a notice Wednesday morning saying the water was discolored and should not be drunk or used to wash hands.
College officials said they thought a problem with the chemicals used to treat the water could be quickly resolved but said Wednesday afternoon that resolving the issue will take more time than anticipated.
All classes and events for Wednesday night and Thursday have been canceled on the main campus only. The college is closed Fridays during the summer.
Information sessions scheduled for the NJSTARS scholarship program tonight and the college’s Aviation programs Thursday night will be rescheduled and new dates will be posted on the college website.
