A 65-year-old Sicklerville man died after he drove his vehicle off the Atlantic City Expressway Wednesday evening, police said.

Lawrence S. Wagman was driving his vehicle eastbound at milemarker 20.4 on the highway at 5:44 p.m. when his Nissan Altima crossed into the westbound lane and then left the roadway, according to State Police. The vehicle ultimately crashed into a fence and several trees.

Hamilton Township EMS transported Wagman to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus in Atlantic City where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The incident is still under investigation.
