A Hamilton Township man has been accused of sending threatening Facebook messages to victims in 21 separate jurisdictions across New Jersey, State Police said.

Craig L. Wyatt Jr., 20, was accused of terrorizing victims using multiple social media accounts, email messages and phone numbers, State Police said.

“He would tell the victims that they had a few weeks left to live, so they should spend their time wisely,” police Sgt. Adam Grossman said in a press release.

The parents of a Browns Mills, Burlington County, youth lodged a complaint in July with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, saying their child had received a threatening message from someone using the name Jimmy Raketerra. A month later, the Voorhees Township Police Department in Camden County also contacted State Police after four separate youths received similar threats through Facebook.

A bulletin sent to law enforcement agencies in the state yielded responses from additional police departments that said victims in their jurisdiction also reported similar threats from Raketerra. The State Police Digital Technology Investigations Unit analyzed the information and later identified Wyatt as the so-called Facebook stalker, officials said.

Police said they interviewed Wyatt last week he admitted to using multiple Facebook accounts, email address and phone numbers to communicate with the victims. He was arrested last Thursday. It was unclear what his motive was, and he appeared to have randomly targeted his victims, police said.

Wyatt was charged with two counts of making terroristic threats by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and Hamilton police; two counts of making terroristic threats and theft of services from State Police; and four counts of harassment by Voorhees police. He was held in Atlantic County Jail on $35,000 bail.

State Police said the following agencies have additionally identified Wyatt as a suspect: Bellmawr, Bordentown, Cherry Hill, Collingswood, Deptford, Denville, Eastampton, Egg Harbor Township, Evesham, Florham Park, Gloucester Township, Merchantville, Mount Holly, Pemberton, Southampton, Toms River and West Deptford.
