Hamilton Township police rescued a man who fell into the Great Egg Harbor River this afternoon.
Police said Steven Wilson, 31, of Mays Landing, was found by police in the river near the bulkhead at noon Friday. Hamilton detectives Mike Robison and Mike Virga assisted in pulling Wilson out of the icy river, police said.
Wilson was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division in Galloway Township.
Police did not release an update on his condition. They said it is unknown at the time why Wilson was in the water.
