The second H&M store in Atlantic County will open at noon today in the Hamilton Mall.

The 19,000-square-foot store will offer collections for ladies, men, young ladies and young men, with separate "store-within-a-store" sections for accessories and lingerie.

The new location will also carry

the Swedish retailer's children's collection, with clothing for ages newborn to 8.

In celebration of opening day, H&M at Hamilton Mall will offer the first 100 shoppers in line an H&M T-shirt and an Access to Fashion Pass valued from $10 to $300. There will be other opening offers as well.

"After opening close to 40 locations in 2012, this year we plan to continue to open stores in the best locations across the country," Daniel Kulle, U.S. president for H&M, said in a statement. "After what has been a challenging year for the Jersey Shore region, we are happy to be able to show our continued belief in the strength of this area by opening another full concept store that will offer collections for the whole family."

Since H&M opened its first U.S. store on New York's Fifth Avenue 13 years ago, the nation has been one of the retailer's most important markets. Currently it has 270 locations across the country, among its 2,800 stores in 49 markets worldwide.

Hennes & Mauritz AB is a global retailer of clothing, footwear,

cosmetics, home textiles and accessories. In addition to H&M, the company operates stores under the COS, Monki, Weekday and Cheap Monday brands, as well as H&M Home.

Currently it is testing a higher priced accessories chain named "& Other Stories," with jewelry,

lingerie and shoes, as well as a limited selection of more expensive clothing.

In the past year, Hennes & Mauritz grew its revenues from $16.7 billion to $18.3 billion, and its net income from $2.4 billion to $2.6 billion.

H&M opened its first store in Atlantic County in 2005, in what is now Tanger Outlets The Walk in Atlantic City.

The H&M at Hamilton Mall will be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.

to 6 p.m. Sunday.
