Jacobs named Employee of Month

Shore announced that Pharmacist John Jacobs, of Mays Landing, has been named the medical center’s February 2013 Employee of the Month for consistently delivering outstanding, patient-centered service and embodying Shore Medical Center’s mission, vision and values.

Jacobs joined Shore Medical Center in April of 2012. In his short time at Shore, he has developed a reputation as being highly knowledgeable and a great resource. Jacobs was nominated by ICU registered nurse Ben D’Aulerio and administrative nursing supervisor Jennifer Pero, MSN, RN, who said he has been a tremendous addition to the medical center’s night shift.

Muhammad on Bowie State dean’s list

Baseemah Muhammad, of Mays Landing, was named to Bowie (Md.) State University’s dean’s list for outstanding academic accomplishments in the fall 2012 semester. Muhammad is a senior majoring in nursing.

To be named to the dean’s list, students must be enrolled full-time in a degree program and earn a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale in regular, graded courses.

Bakshis makes dean’s list at Bard College

Edward Bakshis, of Mays Landing, made the dean’s list at Bard College at Simon’s Rock for the fall semester of the 2012 academic year. To be eligible for this honor a student must carry 14 or more credits and achieve a grade-point average of 3.5.

Lobo on dean’s list at Jefferson

Abelardo Lobo, of Mays Landing, a Jefferson School of Nursing student, was named to the dean’s list of Thomas Jefferson University for the fall 2012 semester. At the end of each academic term, recognition on the dean’s list for Distinguished Academic Achievement is awarded to students enrolled in undergraduate programs, with no fewer than 12 credit hours per semester, who achieved a minimum grade-point average of at least 3.5 for the term.
