Local students achieve dean’s list at TCNJ
Students who earned placement on the dean’s list at The College of New Jersey for the spring 2013 semester included David Franzmathes, Carmen Cincotti, Jason Palermo, Megan Coburn and Noelle Delusant, all of Mays Landing.
To achieve this honor, a student must carry 12 or more credits that semester and have a 3.5 grade-point average or above.
Bakshis on dean’s list at Bard College
Edward Bakshis, of Mays Landing, made the dean’s list at Bard College at Simon’s Rock — The Early College for the spring semester. Simon’s Rock is the only college in the country specifically designed for bright, highly motivated students ready to enter college early, usually after the 10th or 11th grade.
Bakshis completed 10th grade at Oakcrest High School before leaving to attend early college.
To be eligible, a student must carry 14 or more credits and achieve a grade-point average of 3.5.
Local students graduate from Delaware
The University of Delaware’s 164th commencement was May 25, at Delaware Stadium. Graduating students included Joseph Camp, David Mroz and Jose Quidachay, all of Mays Landing.
Van Vranken on dean’s list at Wells College
Annalise Van Vranken, class of 2014, of Mays Landing, was named to the Wells College dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester.
The dean’s list consists of students who earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average for at least 12 hours of coursework in a given semester. Vranken is majoring in sociology/ anthropology with a concentration in sociology.
McClennen on dean’s list at Chestnut Hill College
Jaime McClennen, a sophomore communications major from Mays Landing, has been named to the dean’s list at Chestnut Hill College for the spring 2013 semester.
Students are named to the dean’s list if they have achieved a GPA of 3.6 or higher, and are recognized at opening convocation held in the fall semester.
