Atlantic County is offering flu shots at two locations as the number of flu cases in the state is higher than normal this season.

The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports New Jersey is one of 29 states reporting high levels of flu, according to a release from the county.

Flu shots are still being distributed to residents at the Stillwater Building at 201 S. Shore Road in Northfield from 9 a.m. to noon weekdays and the Hammonton Human Services Building at 310 Bellevue Ave. in Hammonton from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays.

No appointment is necessary and one shot costs $15. Pneumonia shots are also available to eligible residents 65 years and older for $25.

There is no cost for either shot for Medicare Part B recipients who present their cards.

For more information about the flu, visit www.aclink.org/publichealth or call 609-645-5935.
