The city’s ground-based fireworks display planned to cap off the Hometown Celebration on July 7 was postponed and will take place at City Lake Park at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11.

Viewers should bring a chair or a blanket to the beach viewing area to watch the fireworks bursting overhead and reflected in the water. DJ Chris Zipfel of E-Max Entertainment will provide music starting at 7:30 p.m. Parking is available at the lake parking lot, and the refreshment stand will be open with a special menu for the event.
