Citizen of the Year nominations sought
The Kiwanis Club of Egg Harbor City is seeking nominations for 2012 Citizen of the Year.
Nominees must reside in the Greater Egg Harbor City area and contribute to the civic or social well-being of the community. Please submit all nominations to Secretary Jim McGeary, 218 Philadelphia Ave., Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215, no later than Aug. 8.
Kindergarten, pre-K registration open
The Egg Harbor City School District has announced that there is still time for parents to register their children for pre-K and kindergarten for September.
Parents can pick up a registration packet from the Spragg School Office during the summer between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Parents still need to make an appointment with the Central Registrar to complete the registration process for their child. Children must be age 4 on or before Oct. 1 to enter preschool, and children must be 5 on or before Oct. 1 to enter kindergarten. Call 609-965-1034, ext. 130.
