Aloia named Senior Scholar

Alexandra Aloia, of Egg Harbor City, was named Senior Scholar during an honors ceremony recently at Alvernia University in Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of St. Joseph High School.

Each year, the award is presented to one student who represents the best characteristics of the Alvernia University student body, including a strong commitment to major, university and community. As this year’s winner, Aloia will make scholarly contributions to her chosen discipline during her senior year, and will speak at two major events, Opening Convocation and Honors Convocation.

Aloia is an honors student who is double majoring in chemistry and history. She belongs to two campus honor societies, Lambda Sigma and Delta Epsilon Sigma.

Hall honored during Phi Theta Kappa Day

Atlantic Cape Community College student Peter Hall, of Egg Harbor City, was honored by the New Jersey Council of County Colleges, along with 39 other New Jersey community college students and their families, at the 19th annual Phi Theta Kappa Day celebration May 2 in Trenton.
