Avalon Real Estate Agency has merged into Long & Foster Real Estate, one of the nation’s largest privately held real estate companies.
The agency, which will now operate under the Long & Foster brand, was established in 1962. It is led by Bill Soens, president and broker of record, and Paul E. Leiser, who serves as vice president, co-owner and chief financial officer.
Long & Foster Real Estate represents nearly 10,000 agents in seven Mid-Atlantic and Northeast states, plus the District of Columbia. The company sold more than $24.8 billion worth of homes in 2012.
