Free rabies clinic for pets May 11
The township will provide a free rabies clinic from 2 to 3 p.m. May 11 at the Public Works Garage, 400 Mechanic St., in Cape May Court House.
Residents can obtain dog licenses on the same day or log on to middletownship.com and print and complete the license application before coming to the clinic. The fee for a spayed or neutered dog is $8.20 and non-spayed or non-neutered dog is $11.20. Residents can pick up license applications now in between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Township Hall, 33 Mechanic St., 2nd Floor, Room 202, from Dawn Stimmel.
All dogs must be 6 months or older and on a leash. All cats must be in a carrier. As rabies has been found in Middle Township, Animal Control is enforcing a zero-tolerance policy for unlicensed dogs. The owner of any dog that is found at large within the township that does not have a license will be issued a summons and require a court appearance.
