Borough contracts with coastal engineer
The borough of Wildwood Crest has entered into a professional services contract with a coastal engineer.
The borough’s Board of Commissioners, at its regular meeting May 29, passed a resolution to authorize a professional services contract with Hatch, Mott, MacDonald for coastal engineering services in conjunction with FEMA Advisory Base Flood Elevation maps for an amount not to exceed $5,000.
Advocating on behalf of the borough, Hatch, Mott, MacDonald will prepare and deliver a letter to FEMA regarding ABFE maps for the purpose of preempting any potential applications by FEMA based on potentially unsound assumptions or faulty data in its overland wave analysis and development of future preliminary ABFE maps. Hatch, Mott, MacDonald will also serve the borough in meetings with FEMA representatives with regard to this same matter.
A copy of this resolution is on file in the office of the borough clerk. For more information, call 609-522-5176.
