Fundraiser planned

On Nov. 17 is the Zumbathon and Music Event: Shake for Sandy Relief from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Whitesboro Recreation Center. The suggested donation is $10, collected goods and supplies are needed. There will be a coin collection, and a portion of T-shirt and raffle proceeds go to storm victims through the Cape Connects/Lunch with Lynch Foundation and North Wildwood Fire Department. Guests can enjoy an hour of Zumba with seven instructors, and there will be special performances, raffles, Shake for Sandy T-shirts for sale and more.

PAC plans ‘Jersey Joys’ series

The Performing Arts Center of Middle Township has announced that it will soon initiate a “Jersey Joys” series featuring professional performers and theatrical companies based in New Jersey, a special series as PAC enters its 20th year. Linda Gentille, of Upper Township, will return with her Jersey Shore Pops Orchestra on Nov. 17. On Dec. 9, the New Jersey Ballet will return for its annual production of “The Nutcracker.” Ticket prices vary. Call 609-463-1924.


Yard sale canceled

Due to the need caused by hurricane Sandy, Beth Judah Temple in Wildwood is canceling its yard sale scheduled for Nov. 30 and Dec. 2 and will to donate everything collected to various agencies aiding the people who have suffered damages. For more information, call 609-522-7541.

Pajamas wanted

The Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey is hosting a PJ Roundup. They are asking for donations of new pajamas/gowns to be distributed to the needy during the upcoming Holiday Season. Drop off your donations from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Wildwood Housing Authority, 3700 New Jersey Ave., Wildwood. Pajamas for all age and gender groups are needed. No used clothing will be accepted.
