Breakfast with Santa set for Dec. 1

Enjoy a family-friendly breakfast buffet at the Inn of Cape May, 7 Ocean St., as children visit with Santa and hear a Christmas story. Christmas lists accepted, treats offered for children. Middle Township

Chamber seeks Tree of Life sponsors

The Middle Township Chamber of Commerce will kick off the holiday season Dec. 7 with the 26th annual Tree of Life Festival during the Christmas in Middle Celebration. The display of decorated trees and wreaths will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. followed by a live auction in the old Fire House on Boyd Street. Businesses or individuals can sponsor a tree by contributing $150 or a wreath for $75 and will have their name displayed on the tree at the event. Trees will be judged and awarded ribbons in categories of most creative, artistic, elegant/formal, best children’s, traditional, whimsical and best theme. Tree size can range from tabletop to 6 feet tall, but must be artificial for fire safety reasons. The sponsor’s name will be displayed at the Tree of Life Festival and on all promotional material and media advertising. Proceeds from the evening benefit Holy Redeemer Hospice, Cape Assist and the United Way of Cape May County. Call Mary Kisielewski at 609-463-6722.


School district to receive award

The Pediatric/Adult Asthma Coalition of New Jersey, sponsored by the American Lung Association in New Jersey, honored the Wildwood Public School District with the Asthma Friendly School Award recently.

This award was given in recognition of the school’s efforts to enhance the quality of education for students and staff who have asthma.

Little League banquet set

The Greater Wildwood Little League will hold its 2012 banquet from 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Grand Hotel of Cape May for all 2012 players and families.

The banquet is open to all 7- to 13-year-old players for the major and minor league teams. All players/coaches/ sponsors are free. Adults are $10, children under 12 are $5. There will be a buffet menu and special presentations. Pay at the door by cash or check (checks payable to GWLL). Registration for the 2013 season also will be taken.
