Storm-sewer system funds allocated

The Board of Commissioners, at its regular meeting Feb. 6, approved ordinances providing funding for the improvement of the storm-sewer system in the northwest area of the borough.

The project will improve the storm-sewer system by installing storm-sewer lines along Lavender and Heather roads between Lake Road and Park Boulevard.

The ordinances include the appropriation of $119,000 from remaining balances in previously adopted bond ordinances and $51,000 from the borough’s general capital fund balance.

Construction should commence on or about April 1 this year, with the majority of the project to be completed by Memorial Day weekend.
