LOWER TOWNSHIP — The Southern Shore Chapter of the American Red Cross provided shelter for a township family after a fire Saturday damaged a home on Carolina Avenue.

The fire, reported at 3 p.m., displaced two adults and a child. It left the home without heat or electricity. The Red Cross provided hotel accommodations, food and clothing assistance.

The Villas Volunteer Fire Company and township police did not release details obout the fire.
