The Middle Township Police Department is investigating a biased note left on a Public Works vehicle in March.

The Middle Township Committee is offering a $500 reward for information leading to a successful prosecution in the case.

Police said two employees at the Public Works building on Mechanic Street found a handwritten note on a work vehicle with a biased message on March 5.

Anyone with information can contact the Middle Township Major Crime Unit at 609-465-8700, or anonymously leave a tip at Cape May County Crime Stoppers at 609-465-2800.

Mayor Dan Lockwood released a statement Thursday stating the township is committed to providing employees with "a pleasant work environment free of harassment of any kind."

”The Township of Middle has a zero tolerance policy for harassment based on perceived sex, race, creed, color, religion, national origin, etc,” he said.
