LOWER TOWNSHIP— A North Cape May man has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer after he allegedly head-butted one officer and spit blood on another Saturday.
Police said Kyle W. Komar, 18, of the 600 block of Fire Lane, was arrested 11:20 a.m. after he drove his car several times into CJ’s American Bar & Grill on Bayshore Road.
Komar was also charged with drunken driving, criminal mischief, risking widespread damage or injury and numerous drug charges. Bail was set at $20,000.
Following the incident, township Construction Official Gary Playford evaluated the structural integrity of the bar and deemed the building to be safe.
